Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
Invites by R&S ("we", "us") operates this invitation design platform. For the purposes of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are the data controller for personal data processed through this service. You can reach us at privacy@invitesbyrands.eu.
2. What we collect
- Account data: email, display name, authentication identifiers.
- Invitation content: titles, event details, designs and uploaded media you create.
- RSVP data: guest names, optional emails, responses, plus-ones, meal choices, messages.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor; we only store transaction references.
- Technical data: minimal logs (IP, user-agent) for security and abuse prevention.
3. Legal bases (Art. 6 GDPR)
- Performance of contract — to provide the invitation editor and publishing service.
- Legal obligation — invoicing, accounting and tax records.
- Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, product improvement.
- Consent — non-essential cookies and marketing communications, where applicable.
4. Hosts and their guests
When a host publishes an invitation and shares it, the host is the data controller of the RSVP data their guests submit. We act as data processor for that RSVP data on the host's behalf. Hosts are responsible for informing their guests about how RSVP data will be used.
5. Sharing & sub-processors
We use a managed cloud backend (database, authentication and storage) and a payment provider to run the service. Data may be processed in the EU and, where unavoidable, in third countries with appropriate safeguards (Standard Contractual Clauses).
6. Retention
Account and invitation data are kept while your account is active. RSVP data is retained until the host deletes the invitation or their account. Invoices are retained for the period required by law (typically up to 10 years).
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port and object to processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. To exercise your rights, contact privacy@invitesbyrands.eu.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and to remember your cookie preferences. Non-essential cookies (e.g. analytics) are only set after you give consent via the cookie banner.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in-product or by email.
